October 11th, 2007
Singers: Cassie, Jody, Natasha and Kaitlyn
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah Why did you have to go-o away with the runoff? A stream is a channel along which water is always flowing down a slope (down a slope.) Now the run-off is the remaining water that ran into the end of the slope (all alone.)
I feel like, I'm drowning in the river, since it's a bigger stream I think it will take me away-a.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah Why did you have to go-o away with the run-off?
A gully is the v-shaped area where the run-off is flowing all around (all around.) In the gulley as the run-off travels it forms tiny grooves in the soil called a rills (go up and down.)
I feel like I'm drowning in the river. Since it's a bigger stream, I think it will take me away-a.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah Why did you have to go-o away with the run-off?

Umbrella Waterfalls
October 10th, 2007
To the tune of Umbrella by Rhianna
Singers: Sydney, Tara, McKenzie, Courtney
Ahuh, ahuh, yea! Valleys
Ahuh, ahuh, waterfalls flow into rapids!
Ahuh, ahuh
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
There was a plain, formed by water, not rain
Erosion widens its valley, rather than deepening it
Oxbow Lake, is a meaner cut off from river by sedment
Rapids and waterfalls are common where the river passes over hard rock
Meanders, where a river flows across easily
Eroded sediment will bend forever in a series of meanders
You can stand in my valley, valley, valley
As my river flows, flows, flows
It cuts a deeper valley, valley, valley
Aha
You can stand in my valley, valley, valley

Erosion Shapes the Earth
October 10th, 2007
To the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus"
Kayla, Jalin, Olivia and Jessica
Waterfalls, meanders, oxbow lakes floodplains, too. Valleys formed by erosion and this is how we know. Valleys dip into the earth, to the earth, to the earth. Valleys dip into the earth- la, la, la, la, la.
Waterfalls fall over a cliff, over a cliff, over a cliff. Waterfalls fall over a cliff, knocking rocks away.
Flood plains surround flow of a river, flow of a river, flow of a river. Flood plains surround flow of a river, land of soil and dirt.
Oxbow lakes cut from a stream, from a stream, from a stream. Oxbow lakes cut from a stream, look like half loops.
Meanders are loop like turns, loop like turns, loop like turns. Meanders are loop like turns that bend into a stream.
This is how we know all that, know all that, know all that. This is how we know all that- EROSION SHAPES THE EARTH!
